Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can now back up their customers' physical servers with Altaro VM Backup for MSPs

MSPs can back up and manage customers' virtual machines and any physical Windows servers using a multi-tenant console

London, UK & Malta, 17 October, 2019: Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can now back up customers' physical servers in addition to their virtual machines (VMs), thanks to new functionality in Altaro VM Backup for MSPs, being launched today.

Several organisations with virtual environments still have one or more physical servers that have not been virtualized, which require data protection. With Altaro VM Backup for MSPs, MSPs can back up their customers' physical Windows servers and restore them to a virtual environment (as a virtual disk or a virtual machine running on a Hyper-V hypervisor).

MSPs can manage customer physical server backups from the same multi-tenant Cloud Management Console as their VM backups. Billing and reporting are also integrated into the console. MSPs also benefit from priority 24/7 support as part of the package.

Additional functionality

The latest version gives MSPs several cloud storage options to offer their customers, namely: Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3 and Wasabi, with full native integration between them and Altaro VM Backup. Altaro VM Backup securely and seamlessly handles data transfers, without requiring any additional resources running in the cloud to provide backup storage.
