VP Finance & Operations

LOCATION: MALTA, EU

Due to steady growth we are now looking to hire a VP of Finance & Operations to join us. With over 50,000 customers worldwide, we continue to expand and reach new markets at a rapid pace; this position will help fuel our company’s growth.

Required Skills:

  • Manage the finance function of the company
  • Make use of current financial data to analyze the company’s performance and to produce forecasts and projections
  • Present and explain the financial position to the board
  • Assist the board in determining the financial and operational impact of current and new projects
  • Experience in working with a group of companies in foreign jurisdictions
  • Have an understanding of tax issues and how these can impact the company
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, law firms and other service providers both locally and abroad
  • Be ultimately responsible for the issuance of monthly management accounts and the timely filing of compliance documents with authorities (income tax, VAT, company law etc.)
  • Actively seek innovative ways of how to streamline workflows
  • Help with setting sales targets and staff compensation plans, together with help in setting up target tracking spreadsheets
  • Take over payment follow up (chasing for payments)
  • Have a hands on approach when dealing with financial and operational issues, as and when they arise
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
  • Coordinate financial audits
  • Have a problem solving attitude
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and think like an owner
  • Demonstrate leadership skills.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A solid background in finance together with a track record of at least 5 years’ experience
  • An Accounting qualification

The selected candidate would report directly to the CEO. An attractive salary will be offered to the right candidate.
