Software Developer in Test

Your main areas of responsibility will be to:

• Create tools for the QA department
• Maintain current automation and add functionality as required
• Test our software on various platforms and setups, to make sure that all features work as designed
• Identify defects or inconsistencies in the software and document them in a bug tracking software
• Contribute to defects resolution by reproducing and investigating issues
• Execute regression, load and system testing
• Product benchmarking.

The profile of our ideal applicant:

• Must have good logical, analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of C#
• Experience in troubleshooting Windows issues, using inbuilt Windows applications, such as the Event Log Viewer, net.exe, netstat etc.
• Must have a very good level of written and spoken English
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be passionate about IT, coding, computers and eager to learn new things
• High interest in the QA engineering field

Skills and Experience Considered an Asset (Optional):

• Knowledge/experience with virtualization such as Hyper-V or VMware
• Knowledge of manual testing processes and different types of testing such as functional and regression testing
• Experience as a network/system administrator, QA/Software Tester or Technical Support Agent
• A deep understanding of the Windows operating system (file system, registry, memory model, security model, process model)
• Knows what VSS is (and we’re not referring to source safe)
• Experience of unit test frameworks, automated testing and user interface testing
• A geek with a good sense of humor
• Experience with SQL & VBScript
