Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can now back up and restore their customers' Office 365 mailboxes

Altaro launches new multi-tenant offering complete with storage infrastructure: Altaro Office 365 Backup for MSPs

London, UK & Malta, 20 November, 2018: Thanks to the new Altaro Office 365 Backup for MSPs, being launched today, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can now provide their customers with backup and recovery services for Office 365 Exchange mailboxes, by automatically backing them up to Altaro's Microsoft Azure infrastructure. With this latest offering, Altaro extends its B2B data protection solutions beyond virtual machine (VM) backup for which it is already widely known and praised, counting more than 8,000 partners and MSPs worldwide.

It is essential for businesses to back up user Office 365 mailboxes so as not to lose critical data in the case of accidents such as unintentional mailbox deletion, or attacks such as malicious user actions or malware.

As Microsoft does not back up Office 365 subscriber data, Altaro's new offering enables MSPs to provide their customers with robust, reliable mailbox backup and recovery services.

Altaro Office 365 Backup for MSPs backs up mail items and their attachments, with backups taking place automatically several times per day to Altaro's secure Microsoft Azure backup location.

Multi-tenant mailbox backup and recovery management

MSPs can manage and monitor the mailboxes they are handling per customer through a centralised, multi-tenant online management console.

The console also provides integrated billing and reports across all an MSPs' Altaro customers for ultra-convenience and ease.
