Expands Altaro's one-stop-shop backup subscription program for MSPs

14 July, 2020: Altaro, an award-winning developer of B2B backup solutions, has launched a new offering that builds on its one-stop-shop vision of providing a full suite of robust backup solutions to businesses around the world through a single platform. Designed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and available via Altaro's unique multi-tenant management console, Altaro EndPoint Backup for MSPs is a highly scalable solution that can protect thousands of endpoints across multiple customers.

Why backing up on-premise and roaming endpoints is so important

Endpoints are the machines used by end users on a network, such as desktops, workstations and laptops. Much of the work within a business or organization is conducted on these network PCs and laptops. Yet, despite companies' best efforts to ensure that their information is stored on their network servers or in the cloud, end users often only save files on their desktops and laptops instead.

Should any of these be lost, stolen or damaged, or should their user delete any data, businesses and organizations need a way to access and restore that data.

MSPs therefore must be able to back up their customers' on-premise and roaming endpoints as a managed service, to provide them with increased data protection across their entire network.

Multi-tenant endpoint backup management and monitoring

Altaro EndPoint Backup for MSPs is a powerful new backup and recovery solution through which MSPs and IT consultants can back up their customers' files on Windows laptops and workstations as a managed service. The solution is available as a monthly subscription program, on a pay per use basis. Other than a minimum monthly starter pack of up to 10 endpoints, MSPs are not bound by contracts or commitments. This removes any unnecessary costs or complexity, while allowing MSPs to grow with their customers.

Managing multiple customer backups from a single pane of glass

It permits MSPs to configure, manage and monitor a range of different customer backups from one single pane of glass across all Altaro’s solutions, enabling them to centrally back up customer VMs, physical Windows servers and Microsoft Office 365 mailboxes and files, as well as files on their laptops and desktop computers.

In addition, MSPs can pick and choose which backup service to provide per customer, while being able to scale as customers continue to grow.
