Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can now back up customers' OneDrive and SharePoint files with Altaro Office 365 Backup for MSPs

New functionality provides MSPs with a comprehensive backup solution for Office 365

London, UK & Malta, 12 September, 2019: Thanks to new functionality in Altaro Office 365 Backup for MSPs, being launched today, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can now perform backups of files stored within OneDrive and SharePoint Document Libraries.

As more organisations move to their workload to platforms like Office 365, there is an increased demand for a comprehensive backup solution that gives customers peace of mind that their data is secure and properly backed up.

Office 365 users cannot rely on Microsoft to back up their emails and files, and this is where Altaro Backup Office 365 for MSPs steps up to the plate. In addition to emails, attachments, contacts, calendars, MSPs can now back up files in OneDrive accounts and SharePoint Document Libraries.

Backups take place automatically several times a day to Altaro's secure Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

Centralised multi-tenant management of all customers' Office 365 backups

MSPs can continue to manage and monitor all backups they are handling per customer through Altaro's centralised, multi-tenant online management console. They also benefit from priority 24/7 support as part of the package. Billing and reporting are integrated into the console.

Additional functionality

The latest version for MSPs also includes:

• Customer self-service – MSPs can choose to give their customers access to their account on the Altaro Cloud Management Console so that they can monitor, browse and restore their own backup data.
• User access rights – MSPs now have more control over backup browsing and restore capabilities by providing access to a selected user account within your team for one or more customers.
• Tamper-proof audit logs – An added advantage of Altaro hosting customers' Office 365 backups is that the logs are tamper-proof as the systems are fully audited. MSPs can therefore meet customers' compliance requirements relating to changes in content. Audited actions include user backup enablement or suspension, content restoration from a mailbox, OneDrive or SharePoint, and browsing user data. The audit can also be exported.
