IT Administrator

LOCATION: MALTA, EU

Based in Malta, the IT Administrator's primary role is to provide assistance and fix incidents reported by our internal user base, primarily based in Malta and North Macedonia. She/he must respond to phone calls, ticketing and personnel requests for technical support while also assists with Internal Server, Systems Infrastructure and Operations, equipment acquisitions, deployments, upgrades, tracking, repair and recycling.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide timely IT related end user support to our internal user base
  • Track all IT end user related requests within the internal service desk ticketing system
  • Install, deploy and maintain IT equipment including laptops, desktops, phones, mobile devices, WIFI and peripherals
  • Identity and access management
  • Follow-up on open issues that arise throughout the course of daily duties and/or other assignments being performed
  • Assist with Internal IT Server and Systems Infrastructure operations, including backup, monitoring and reporting
  • Responsible to procure, maintain and securely recycle internal IT equipment
  • Maintain documentation, inventory and overall administration of internal IT systems
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as required in support of internal IT systems

Skills Needed:

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Significant knowledge of PC hardware, software applications and server operating systems
  • Virtualised environments and tools: VMWare; Hyper-V
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN technologies including DNS, DHCP, WIFI access points, switches, phones and troubleshooting techniques
  • Able to conduct research into issues and products required
  • Very good understanding of email flow
  • Passionate about technology and eager to learn quickly new skills
  • Knowledge of scripting and ability to find ways to automate manual processes
